Club 9, the after-school homework help club, is holding extended hours this coming Monday, 04/07, from 3:30 -5:30 in the library. It is the last Club 9 before midterm grading! There will be a Math, Science, and 2 English teachers there as well as 3 peer tutors to provide individual, academic support to students! Club 9 is open and any and all SEHS students. As always, there are snacks. We hope to see your student there!

- At the Lane County Fairgrounds
- 4/11 shifts from 8:30-10:30 or 10-1: Unload and set up books.
- 4/12 shifts from 7:30-10, 8:30-11:30, 11-2, or 1:30-4:30: Greet and help shoppers, re-stock books.
- 4/13 shifts from 9:30-12:30 or 12:15-3:15: Greet and help shoppers, re-stock books.
- 4/13 shifts from 2:30-4:30: Clean up and return books to the warehouse.

4/12: Lane County Audubon Society Annual Bike Path Cleanup
- Meet near Euphoria Chocolate Company at Stewart and Bertelsen Roads, just north of West 11th Ave.
- 10 am-1 pm
- Staff from the Bureau of Land Management will offer guidance and support.
- Bags and tools will be provided.
- Bring your own gloves, water, hand sanitizer, and snacks.

Invention Lab 2025: Paid, four-week STEM-focused experience for high school students. Designed for youth historically underrepresented in STEM, including BIPOC, female, or gender-nonconforming students or those who come from rural communities or low-income families. (All eligible applicants welcome, though.) Work authorization in the U.S. required. If this requirement presents a barrier, please contact Connected Lane County’s Spark Program (form at bottom of page).
Tuition-Free LCC course for current high-school juniors and seniors during LCC’s 2025 spring or summer term. Any (one) course worth 1-5 credits for which students have met the prerequisites qualifies. Students will still pay for course fees and materials.
UO’s SAIL Program registration now open . Free weeklong day programs for rising high school juniors and seniors from low-income families. Hosted on the UO campus. Participants learn about different academic areas from faculty members and about college and career readiness through fun, social and interactive activities. Opportunity for high school credit to be earned.
4/4: LCC’s High School Engineering Design Competition 2025 registration deadline. Event will take place 4/26 from 10 am-12 pm in LCC’s Building 5 (gymnasium). Teams of up to 4 high school students build a “Circular Mousetrap Car” and compete to see how far it drives. Questions? Email Dan Harbowy <harbowyd@lanecc.edu>.
4/11: Preview Day, 8:45 am - 1:15 pm@Eastern Oregon University. Connect with current students, explore clubs and organizations, tour the campus, and learn about admissions and financial aid. Lunch is included for one student and two guests.
4/18: The PreACT will be offered during the school day for free to all sophomores. Testing will begin at 8:30 am. Room assignments will be communicated closer to the test date.

Format: The PreACT is a practice ACT that covers high school standards in English, math, reading, and science.
